This week Kenaz or Ken has come forward to work with us. Ken is the torch that lights the way, fire and the capacity to know.

This is knowing as a verb not a noun, the act of knowing, to know, rather than the knowledge itself. It is not an accumulation of “stuff” that we pack in our heads to reel out at times of self importance. It is more about the ability to understand or that inner knowing that is innate. The gut reaction that says the information in front of us isn’t all that it seems.

I had a very strong sense that Kenaz wants us to sit with it, not necessarily “Do” anything with it or about it, but simply observe this at play in your life. How much “stuffing” have we crammed into our heads? What use do we make of all that “stuff”? Does it take up room that could be used for more positive thinking? How much of this “stuff” is actually ours, or wanted by us and how much of it has been forced on us? Have we accepted this “stuff” without question? Do we have a head full of “facts” that are out of date, erroneous, distorted, irrelevant?

When I asked Kenaz what it wants us to give in return, one word came strongly back, WISDOM.
