This week’s rune is Ansuz, the word or voice. This rune is all about communication, verbal communication, whether written, spoken, sung or whispered.

Connecting in with Ansuz and asking what message it wanted me to share, this is what it said. Be clear and careful with the words you speak. Words have power, magic almost, they manifest and create, with or without our awareness. Something said or heard can cur a person down and wound them for life or pick a person up and fill their world with joy. Consider deeply before you speak, do not speak in anger or rage, do not wish to do harm with your words, ripples go out around the world and come right back to your door. So speak as you would be spoken to, kindness cost nothing and is a limitless resource.

Ansuz also asks us for clarity. Read and reread before signing on the dotted line, be sure that you have fully understood. If you think you misheard something or it seemed out of place, then that is probably the case, so check, ask for clarity. Similarly do not presume that you have been understood, check. Words have many different meanings, for different people and different contexts.

And in return, Ansuz says, just ask and you will receive. Speak aloud what you desire to manifest or bring into being in your life, invite it in. Those ripples too, will go out into the world and come right back to your door. Remember we are also still in the full moon energy of wishfulfilling manifestation. Enjoy.
