This month brings us a second full moon before it’s close. Blue moons are thought to be lucky, magical or rare, actually they only occur because we force the year into a structured calendar of months or moonths, that is not driven by the lunar cycle. The true lunar cycle flexes around 28 days, with 13 cycles in a full turning of the year. But however you chose to look at it, this full moon offers us the magic of manifestation and some warnings that go hand in hand with the potency of that.
As I shuffled the cards for this reading, 2 fell from the deck together, one face down, one face up. I continued to shuffle asking for 3 cards for the reading and another 2 fell together, both face up.
The first 2 cards were The World Tree, face down, and the Ace of Arrows. This signifies to me, the completion of a cycle of growth, levelling up time. Thus The World Tree being face down, this phase is done, it’s time now to move on to the next level, a new phase. The Ace of Arrows could not be any more clear about that. New beginnings with the Spark of Life, the lighting of a new fire. Arrows are of the Air element, the mind, clear thinking and inspiration. In the image, the eye of the chalk horse is fully focused on its target, sending the arrow of it’s intent directly to it in the rising prayer smoke, our communication with spirit. The unwrapping of this imagery is that our prayers at this time are being answered. What we wish for will manifest so make sure that your aim is true, or be mindful of what it is you are asking for, this is a potent time of magical manifestation.
The following cards support this, with a warning to make your wishes of the highest quality, be rational and not overly fanciful in what you desire to bring into being, it needs to be possible, but your dreams can come true, the sky is the limit. This advice may seem to be at odds with itself but it is all a question of balance. The five of cups speaks of ecstasy, this can be both a liberation and an entrapment, there is a need here to keep grounded and focused. Dream big but don’t get lost in illusion, have your feet on terra firma. The Ace of Stones, earth, manifested form, assures us that our dreams have all the potential they need to come into manifest form.
So wish upon this star, or more accurately this shiny sunlight reflecting satellite of rock orbiting the earth.
