6 Week Online Creative Writing Course Starts Monday 3rd February 2025
Following on from my popular online Writing With Nature course, I will be offering a 6 week course to find and develop your writer’s voice. Your own unique and distinctive style that flavours all of your writing no matter the context. When we think of our favourite poets, novelist, journalist, bloggers and even script writers there is something about their style that attracts us, not simply the matter of their subjects.
There are, of course, grammatical rules and regulations in literature, but how we weave them, play with them and disobey them at times gives and individuality or recognisability to our voice as writers. Our lyricism, tempo and cadence are all markers of the author’s authentic voice, not to mention the encyclopaedia of vocabulary we pool from.
Whether you are new to writing or established this course is designed to help you to tap into and develop your unique expressive voice. Meeting fortnightly on a Monday evening via zoom 6-8pm (GMT), bring your writing journal, your preferred writing implement and a beverage of your choice.
