Full Moon Reading for 13th January 2025

The first full moon of 2025 marks the end of the old cycle pre-empting the new energies that will be flowing in with the new moon on 29th. In last month’s reading we were preparing the seed of things to come, with the warning that we will be supported in all that we do if our hopes, wishes and actions are based on sacred reciprocity and the betterment of everything and everyone, everywhere. This month the power of manifestation is at hand, so heed the warning well, greed and selfishness will no longer reap the rewards it seeks, but instead plunge us deeper into cycles of deprivation.

The Green Man is the Emperor with the power to manipulate and master his surroundings and manifest his wishes. You can see the intend he pours into his cauldron of manifestation, this crucible of creation cooking up new forms of being. The fire reminds me of the Green Woman’s warning, make all that you do for the good of all or the flames will rise up and consume you. With our will focused, this powerful energy of manifestation will bring abundance and joy, offered by the Sun. The promise of growth and illumination.

These two cards jumped from the deck as soon as I started to shuffle and no others presented themselves to follow.

The runes however add a further layer of insight into the message brought by this full moon. The day has come (Dagaz), the time we have been awaiting has arrived, the cycle is complete. The way forward is illuminated, no more hiding in the shadows, all can be seen clearly now. Those seeds (Inguz) that we have been nurturing and bringing into being, can now be planted, a good harvest is promised by the Sun. Tiwaz reminds us that on this path an offering is asked, a sacred offering or sacrifice, something must be given in order to receive. Often this is no more than giving up the old and out worn, do not cling to that which is passed, surrender and release. Then move forward with strength and purpose.

Bright blessings to you all, dig your seeds deep, water them well, let joy blossom in your hearts.

With respect and gratitude, Louisa
