Today four cards dropped out of the deck as I shuffled for this Full Moon reading. The first two cards, The Sun and the 6 of Vessels, read together as a pair. The Sun highlights the changing of the seasons, as we have just passed through an equinox, the turning of the wheel and preparations for holding the light of the sun close to your heart as we turn inward for the winter still times (here in the Northern Hemisphere). In partnership with the 6 of Vessels we are called to be remembered of the old ways, the ways of our ancestors, as they lived in connection with nature and followed the natural cycles of the year. Our modern life styles are no longer punctuated by this rhythmic turning of potent emptiness to seed and growth, fruitfulness, harvest, death and decay. There is no space for rest, stillness or pause, no time to reflect, absorb, feel and deeply connect. We are asked to remember this time honoured way of living in balance, rhythm and connection as a rush of potent creative energy floods in with the Page of Stones, full of plans and ideas for rebuilding our modern societal structures. We are being given the opportunity to re-wild our communities. The challenge set by the 2 of Stones is to blend these new ways of being with our ancestral wisdom teachings, to bring harmony and balance back, slow down and drink in the wonder of life. This is our evolution.
