Kitty.in.a.van goes to Dartmoor

Finally!!!! It’s all very well call me Kitty.in.the.van. if you actually take me with you when you go away in it.

Having got over my disdain and a rather drawn out and, quite frankly, boring drive to Okehampton on the edge of the Devon moors, it was time to set up camp. I’d hardly had time for a recovery nap on my supervisory perch, when it was made painfully clear to me that no human can be relied upon to do the job properly without regular feline inspection.

There you see! It just needed my magic touch. I think I need a nap now!

It’s very demanding work managing these humans you know. And I think the sun must of gone to my familiar’s head, honestly does she really think that it was her that opened that hedgehog portal? Who’s the black cat around here? Ce Moi 😼

Anyway after for too much driving backwards and forwards between this place and that for a few days, we finally got to visit some of the really country. The water is clear, vibrant and health and the rocks are not afraid to show there personality. There are some powerful and ancient spirits, alive and potent in this land. Wandering just below the Nine Ladies stone circle, three such fellows were met, a wild boar, a Mandachewan 😸 and an Roc 😹.

And the views, I must say, were stunning although I don’t think she did a very good job of capturing them on her phone, you could just stare and stare all day 😻

Sadly there comes a time in every journey when it must end, for our last night we sat by the crackle of the fire under a field of stars and near moon full of light.

I look forward to telling you all about my next adventure. You can follow me on instagram @kitty.in.a.van
