I have always had a passion for writing, as a small child learning to read and write I would make up little stories and illustrate them with the images in my mind. I would often tell stories to the nature beings of the hedgerows and hidey holes that I would climb into, to find refuge and solace, whilst watching the human world busying itself around me.
Studying English Literature at school deepened my understanding and appreciation for the art of writing. Launching me upon a journey of gathering and honing the necessary skills for developing this creative craft. I have gone on to study a variety of creative writing modules with the Open University, whilst working and raising a family.
Writing poetry becomes the language that I live and breath, with every thought and conversation finding rhyme and meter.
I dive into the worlds birthed with in every story, short or long, so that I can see, feel, hear and taste them. This enables me to construct a visceral world within your imagination as you read the words I have written or hear the narration as it is read. Each character coming alive as if made of flesh and bone or composite matter.
In the sub menu of this section of my website you will find examples of my craft. In the Writer’s Gallery there are examples of my poetry, prose and short stories, in both written and audio formats. The Sacred Forest is a novel in progress offered chapter by chapter in its unedited form. I will upload each new chapter as I finish it, updating all when editing is complete. Again you will be able to each read or listen or both if you prefer.
Not only do I offer my wordsmithery for your simple pleasure and entertainment, but you can also hire me to write your copy and content, from a simple Biog to full articles and website content.
