Way of the Horse Drum Birthing

Firstly I’m joining up with Dawn Oakley-Smith and the Heartshore Herd to deliver and a drum birthing workshop. This will be a deep ceremonial experience connecting with the Spirit of Horse and the Spirit of your drum.
This magical journey will begin at 10am on Friday 19th May, where you will journey with the Spirit of Horse and start your dance with the Heartshore Herd. The Herd will guide you as we bring your horse skin drums into being.
Refreshments will be provided but you will need to bring your own packed lunch. Whilst this is a non residential weekend there is some basic camping available on request and plenty of B&B’s in the local area.

Follow this link to Heartshore Horses to register and book for this unique experience. £160 deposit required by the 19th April to secure a place and materials, total fee is £300.

Connecting with Nature’s Words
And the following week, on Saturday 27th May, I will be joining up with my good friends Joanna Pine and Sarah Stokes to dip into some creative wordsmithery.

Using meditative techniques to deepen our connection with the natural world around us, we will stimulate our senses and imagination. Allowing this to inspire and spark poetry, prose and short stories.
This one day workshop will be held in the Pavilion at Kingston st Mary playing fields on the edge of the Quantocks AONB. You can arrive from 10.30 am for an 11am start and we will be finishing at 5 pm. Refreshments will be provided but you will need to bring a packed lunch or it is only a short walk to the local pub, The Swan Inn.

The fees are £45 payable in advance or by cash on the day, please do book to let us know you’re coming as places are limited.
