DURATION OF THE MENTORING DAY
The mentoring programme consists of one Mentoring Day.
The mentoring day shall be a minimum of eight (8) hours and a maximum of twelve (12) hours in duration, in any one day.
The maximum duration includes any travel time undertaken by the Mentor in connection with the mentoring day.
The precise schedule, location and timings shall be agreed between the parties prior to the mentoring day.
FEES
The fee for the Mentoring Day is £350.00.
A non-refundable deposit of £50.00 is required to secure the booking.
The remaining balance of £300.00 must be paid within seven (7) calendar days of the booking being made.
Where a booking is made less than seven (7) calendar days before the Mentoring Day is due to take place, the full balance shall be payable immediately upon booking.
The Mentor reserves the right to cancel the booking if payment is not received in full cleared funds within the required timescale.
TRAVEL, ACCOMMODATION AND EXPENSES
The Mentee shall be responsible for all costs associated with their participation in the mentoring day, including but not limited to:
- Travel expenses
- Accommodation costs;
- Meals and refreshments;
- Personal incidental expenses.
Where the location of the mentoring day requires the Mentor to obtain overnight accommodation, the Mentee shall be responsible for reimbursing the reasonable accommodation costs incurred by the Mentor in addition to the mentoring fee.
The Mentor shall provide evidence of accommodation expenses upon request.
Any agreed parking fees, tolls or other exceptional travel expenses incurred by the Mentor may also be charged separately where applicable.
MATERIALS
The mentoring fee does not include the cost of any materials required for making, crafting, creating or producing items during the mentoring day.
All materials required for practical activities shall be charged separately and payable within 14 calendar days of the date of invoice.
The Mentor shall advise the Mentee of any anticipated material costs before they are incurred, wherever reasonably possible.
CANCELLATIONS
The £50.00 deposit is non-refundable under all circumstances except where the Mentor cancels the mentoring day.
If the Mentee cancels more than seven (7) days before the mentoring day, any monies paid beyond the deposit may be refunded at the Mentor’s discretion.
If the Mentee cancels within seven (7) days of the mentoring day, all monies paid shall be non-refundable.
The Mentor may, at their sole discretion, offer an alternative date where exceptional circumstances apply.
RESPONSIBILITY
The Mentee acknowledges that participation in the mentoring day is voluntary and that they remain solely responsible for any decisions, actions or outcomes arising from the mentoring process.
The Mentor provides guidance, support, knowledge and experience but does not guarantee any particular result or outcome.
THIRD PARTY RIGHTS
A person who is not a party to this Agreement shall have no right under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999 to enforce any term of this Agreement.
The rights of the parties to terminate, rescind, vary, amend or otherwise modify this Agreement shall not be subject to the consent of any third party.
Nothing in this clause shall affect any right or remedy of a third party that exists independently of the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999.
SEVER-ABILITY CLAUSE
If any provision, part-provision or clause of this Agreement is found by any court or competent authority to be invalid, unlawful, unenforceable or contrary to applicable law, that provision shall be deemed modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it valid, lawful and enforceable.
If such modification is not possible, the relevant provision or part-provision shall be deemed deleted.
Any modification to or deletion of a provision under this clause shall not affect the validity, legality or enforceability of the remainder of this Agreement, which shall remain in full force and effect.
GOVERNING LAW
These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
Any dispute arising from these Terms and Conditions shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
