Winter Solstice Reading December 21st 2024

Deep in the darkest of nights we turn and look inward, rest, restore, reflect. Mother bear is looking out towards the setting sun before turning in to her cave to hibernate, Isa offers a standstill in tune with the still point of the sun at solstice. The Queen of Stones is a very pragmatic energy, she is always there when you need her, caring nurturing and emotionally strong, she is the quintessential Earth Mother.

The Shaman teaches us how to make magic utilising the elements, working with energy and spirit to manifest a world or life of our choosing. Berkana offers rapid growth, but as a rune of the deep feminine this manifesting power can not be used for selfish greed, but must be utilised for the good of all.

For the Green Woman holds the power of life and death, if your work offers sacred reciprocity; is in balance and harmony with the natural laws, only taking what you need and ensuring something for everyone; Then she will bless you with all your heart could desire and so much more besides. However, if you work selfishly with no thought for the cost to other lives, lack care and consideration then she will leave you baron and cold. This is our ultimate protection, Algiz safe guards our boundaries and boarders, keeps us grounded and connected whilst signalling the necessary cycles of life and death, death and life. In this we are all equal.

Use this time well for self nurture, restoration and reflection, be patient and still. We will need that restored energy as the year kicks off with a running start, rapid growth, change and the power of manifestation, must be kept in balance with the sacred feminine energy of nurture, care, kindness and consideration. Then we can look forward to fulfilment and abundance on all levels, if not reparation will be as swiftly manifested.

May the light shine brightly all around you.

with respect and gratitude
